Areas index The building of the pool The dressing of the terrace
This is the biggest and most important area of the garden. It is immediately behind the house and is the place where we shall swim, sunbathe, drink, barbecue, socialise... At the moment (beginning of June 05) it looks like a stage set—the pool has been built, and the terraces have been laid (see The building of the pool) and we are just starting on the exciting task of turning the builders' empty stage into an area we can enjoy. Follow the dressing of the terrace, but don't expect it to be done too quickly!
