As this is now going to be home to the back half of the swimming pool there will not be as much to look after as we had previously thought. It is quite sizeable—some 19 metres long by five metres deep—but there will really only be a fairly small area at one end that will need landscaping. In the middle there will be a path past the underbuild for the pool, and at the far end there will be the satellite dish and the entrance to the pump house.
We are going to have a seat against the wall which faces south, and plant some lavender and rosemary around it. We are hoping that it will prove to be a quiet retreat for a read or a drink when the weather is a little cooler—the wall behind it should preserve and enhance any warmth that is around, and also protect it from the North winds.
