This is one of our favourite restaurants, and it is situated—fortunately
for us—two minutes up the mountain. Its position overlooks Beniarbeig and
Ondara and right down to the coast at Denia in one direction, and right
across our valley, past Sagra, Orba and Benidoleig to the mountains in the
other. Gunter says he opened on 31 December 1988, and the restaurant was one of the first houses on the mountain. Gunter and Sabina live there with their two young sons, and the restaurant is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the winter, and Wednesday and Thursday as well in the season. He prepares the most wonderful food, in quantities that enable you to walk away in comfort when you have finished, and will cook whatever you fancy. If you do have a specific dish in mind it would be sensible to ring and book a few days before and tell him what you would like. If you want to visit, you turn on to the mountain in Sanet and follow the road upwards. Eventually you will find a small sign pointing to the right. Or you could ring them and ask for directions! |
