This is one of our favourite restaurants which is situated some twenty
minutes drive from us, under the shadow of Montgo on the outskirts of
Jávea. The building itself is full of character with beams and vaulted
ceilings and a minstrel gallery—it appears to be totally traditional
although I understand that it was actually built less than ten years ago!
It is run by Mark, from the Manchester area (but via
several other places), and his Spanish wife, Milagros. They both work very
hard at making it attractive to the Spanish locals as well as the
'immigrant' locals, and the menu is innovative, interesting and
international. This is a treat not to be missed—if you don't live here, make a note for your next visit. |
