When it is finished the Fig Tree Court will be the perfect place for a cool drink on a hot morning—until about 11am when the sun gets round to it! It also has beautiful views out over the valley for admiring at any time.
Peter used red stone for the court because we wanted it to look rustic, but he is not very happy with it, so it might change at some stage. And we intend to surround it with railings matching those in the photos, so that it becomes a proper enclosed court. I think the bench might get some attention, as well.
The ironwork surrounding the tree came with us from Essex, and it weighs a ton!
The figs are absolutely gorgeous, and we should get two crops a year if we are lucky.
